Emma‑Jane LaRoche is a founder member of the Lagotto Romagnolo Association and a long‑standing breeder based in Loch Lomond, Scotland. She works closely with the Breed Health Representative for Lagotto in the UK and serves on the Board of the Lagotto Romagnolo Foundation, an international group of Lagotto owners dedicated to education, health, welfare, and the long‑term sustainability of the breed.
With over 25 years in dog agility, Emma‑Jane has competed widely including at Crufts in both agility and showing and runs her own agility club. She also likes to encourage Lagotto owners to take part in training activities with their dogs, helping them build confidence, connection, and useful skills. She has successfully shown Lagotto in the UK and abroad, breeds occasionally with a focus on sound temperament and health, and teaches the emerging sport of scent hurdle. Outside the ring, she enjoys working her dogs in different ways, including truffling.
