When: Sunday July 16th 2023 - 9.30am start
Where: Village Hall, Lewknor OX9 5TL
We are excited to be presenting our 11th annual Raduno. It will be a fabulous day for all, a chance to meet with fellow Lagotto owners and their dogs and for us all to have some fun.
We are holding the Raduno at our usual venue at the Village Hall, Lewknor, an easy to find location just off the M40 near Chinnor, Oxon. There is a huge outdoor area for our fun and games as well as plenty of space within the hall.
Our day starts with arrival at 9.30am, there will be hot and cold drinks and biscuits available all day but please bring your own picnic lunch. We will have our usual strawberries and cream and some cakes for after lunch!
At 10am we have a presentation and demo from Doghampton - Mantrailing Global / UK. Mantrailing is the best game ever - hide & seek with the outcome of a huge reward! It is not competitive nor over-arousing and will encourage our dogs to problem-solve using their powerful sense of smell. This will enlighten you to your dog’s responses to odour in the environment, it will increase your dog’s confidence and help build a stronger connection between you both. Scent work is something that our Lagotto excell at and we are so happy to have leading experts at our Raduno.
Doghampton will offer a limited number of mini trailing sessions during the afternoon, there will be a £10.00 charge for these sessions so do get in fast to book your place.
The Mantrailing presentation will be followed by our AGM - please don't worry it won't take long...
After lunch we have an afternoon of fun and games, there will be a few Lagotto related stands so bring some cash in case something catches your eye! As well as our guest speaker the committee members will be present to answer any questions you might have - mostly we are planning to be able to relax and have fun though.
Debbie Harrison will be on hand with training tips and will run some short, fun sessions to help with basics. With over 30 years teaching experience Debbie is qualified with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), Debbie also has a Canine Behaviour Management qualification and has studied Canine Body Language.
