I am fairly new to the world of Lagottos. I have had Archie for the past 5+ years. He was the first male Lagotto to come to Scotland and so I had a BIG learning curve as there was no one ‘local’ that I could go to for questions or assistance – we learned together and we continue to learn each day. When Archie was thru with this puppy years .. I decided to take him into the world of 'dog showing'. We have made many good friends - human and furry - and it is always a fun day. I know that he enjoys it as much as me as his tail is wagging constantly. As well as dog showing, we recently qualified as a Pets As Therapy volunteer team and so now we visit care and nursing homes as well as being involved in the setting up of home visits for a children’s hospice. Archie lives beside Loch Lomond and so swimming is as much a part of his day as walking ... we recently competed at Crufts and we had a wonderful day meeting international lagottos and owners.
