AV IMPORT REGISTER (GUNDOGS)
On the final day I had a very nice entry of mainly Lagotto Romagnolo with an additional boost from some Slovakian Roughhaired Pointers. The overall quality in Lagottos was somewhat mixed, but the best were really very good indeed.
PGD(4) 1 Vine's Panoply Assured Gamble. Slovakian Roughhaired Pointer. Three year old male of very nice breed type, but just a little plump. Masculine and workmanlike. Excellent head, eye and expression. Good coat quality. Would like more positive front movement, but very good side gait. 2 Meacham's Emmroche Bartolomeo. Lagotto, three year old masculine male. He has a very lovely head, but could use his ears to better advantage. Excellent body, but would like a little more front angulation and hence better extension in front. Good coat. Would like better tail carriage. 3 Caunter's Yduns Blue's Kenzo. Lagotto. 19 month old raw youngster, who needs more time to mature. Good head. At the moment too narrow in body and in movement.
LD(6) 1 Wallis' Emmroche Barolo At Princhetts. Lagotto, two and a half year old of beautiful breed type. Still young, but has the correct outline. Very nice head, correct reverse scissor bite, good eye and expression. Carries himself very well. Coat quality could be a touch harsher. Excellent side movement. Reserve Best Dog. 2 Caunter's Grancanna Bonni Basilio NAF. Lagotto, six and a half year old male of nice type. Would like him a little stronger. Very nice head. Excellent coat quality. Sound mover. 3 Harvey's Gaesten Supersachie. Lagotto, up-to-size male of correct type, but could have been presented in better coat. Good head, excellent eye and expression. Moves well behind, but needs better front extension.
OD(6) 1 Benelli's Il Granaio Dei Malatesta Sauro (ATC AQ01545ITA). Two and a half year old Lagotto, quality, masculine male with plenty to like about him. Excellent breed type. His head is of excellent mould, good eye and expression. Very nice body, super topline, good quarters which he used well on the move. Excellent quality coat. Up-to-size, but a super, top quality dog unobtrusively and beautifully handled to bring out the very best in him. Best Dog & Best AV Imported Register Gundog. 2 Nelson's Gaesten Zippy Zingo. Lagotto male of very nice breed type. A little hesitant as he had had an unfortunate experience at a previous show. He has a very correct outline. Good head, nice body. Good quality jacket. Moves well. Just needs a little more confidence. 3 Owen's Gaesten Ziggy Pop Del Acquitrino. A very happy Lagotto male, strong fellow of nice breed type. Strong skull, muzzle could be a tad shorter. Nice eye and expression. Well bodied. Movement a little wide behind.

Sp PB(2) 1 Stephenson's Yduns Blue Orchid For Timaurn. Lagotto, just 11 months old, but promises very well for the future. Such a pretty young female of very lovely breed type. Correct outline, very typical topline. Feminine head of excellent mould. Well bodied for age. Moves very well for one so young. Confident temperament. Best Puppy and Reserve Best Bitch. 2 Williams &Carless' Fullforge Floral Dancer. Just nine and a half months old young female. Nice type. Very good skull, a little light in muzzle and ears a shade large. Very good body for age. Nice side gait, but still a little narrow behind. Lovely temperament.

Well made quarters which se used well on the move. 2 Chevalier &Rowbury's Stormdancer Coral. Slovakian Roughhaired Pointer. 17 month old feminine bitch. Very nice head, good expression. Nice depth of body. Needs to improve in front and would like better feet. 3 Pisano's Mianatra Bound To Be Belle. 15 mth old Lagotto, up-to-size bitch who I would like a little more feminine. A little heavy in bone. Good body. Very nice coat quality.
PGB(3, 1) 1 Ferguson's Gaesten Born To Frisk Of Mizani. Lagotto, almost five years old, shown rather plump, but of good type. Very good head. Moved reasonably well. Excellent jacket. Very good temperament. 2 Barker's Gaesten Jentle Jemima. Lagotto, not quite two years old and needs a little more time. Head is a little narrow, both in skull and muzzle. Good front, enough rear angulation.

Very good head. Nice bone. Excellent coat. Nice side movement. 2 Owens' Gaesten Desirable Daisy Del Aquitrino. Lagotto, sister to Desirable Diva, would like her with better head qualities. Correct bite. Very good coat. Would like a better front and more positive movement.
OB(6, 1) 1 Geissant's Cy/Mac/Mol/Mn/P/Rsm Ch Grazie Mille Golatire Du Trepont (ATC AQ01636FRA). Lagotto with a stamp of quality. Just over two year old feminine bitch of excellent type and proportions. Lovely head, eye and expression. Correct outline, carries herself very well. Good quality coat. Excellent side movement. Best Bitch. 2 Geissant's F/L/Mol/Cyr/Sm/Mn/Mac/P Ch Gai A Te Golatiere Du Trepont (ATC AQ01301FRA). Lagotto, sister to Grazie Mille. Plenty to like about this brown bitch too. Has many good qualities. Very feminine and well balanced, but would prefer her a tad shorter in loin. Moves well, but could have a little more front extension. 3 Hunter's Ir Sh Ch Hosta Pride In Greyspirit. Slovakian Roughhaired Pointer, approaching seven years. Very nice type. Beautiful head, very good bone and length of body. Excellent quality coat. Failed a little in topline.
