What moving from Import Register means to exhibitors in the UK.
It’s a whole different ball game …..going onto the KC Breeds Register from April 2015 means that the show scene opens up to include general Open Shows and we will get actual breed classes at Crufts 2016, albeit it will probably be without CCs, but the BoB can go onwards to the Gundog Group and, you never know, perhaps the BIS Ring someday. However, let’s keep things simple……
Firstly, it will take a while before general or Gundog group canine and CH show societies decide to include a few breed classes for our breed, although I have already been offered classes by one Society for April 2015…watch this space. And for the LRA, as a new club, it will be at least 2 years before we can hold our own breed open show.
Until such time as actual breed classes are on offer, we have to enter AVNSC classes (Any Variety Not Separately Classified) and we can also enter AV STAKES and AV Gundog classes including AV RARE BREEDS. Fortunately (certainly at CH Shows) the classifications are much better.
After April 2015, Lagotto qualifying for Crufts 2016 will be slightly different.
Here is link to the full 2015 Crufts qualifications. Broadly speaking these usually stay the same every year.
